What’s New
Ship uninterrupted during peak volume surges
Heading into our 11th peak, we know that even a brief disruption at the wrong time can quickly cascade into pick-and-pack delays or fulfilment backlogs. With national carriers managing record delivery volumes, system slowdowns or temporary outages can occur without warning. To keep your operations running smoothly, we’ve introduced two new opt-in safeguards designed to maintain business continuity when it matters most:
1. Fallback quoting to keep your orders moving
Shippit now lets you set pre-configured fallback rates that are used if Australia Post and StarTrack carrier APIs experience downtime or latency. These rates can be applied per service, across Australia Post eParcel Standard, Express, Metro, or StarTrack Express and Premium.
2. Automated fuel surcharges for rate cards
For customers using internal rate cards, updating fuel surcharges each month is time-consuming and easy to miss - especially during peak. Now you can opt in to automated fuel surcharge updates for Australia Post eParcel Standard, Express, Metro, or StarTrack Express and Premium.

Just in time for peak, we’re excited to welcome Dragonfly as a new carrier in Shippit. Backed by Intelcom’s global expertise, Dragonfly operates 140+ drivers daily across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane to deliver reliable, next-day services without the premium price tag.
Shippit automatically allocates Dragonfly for eligible orders, so retailers receive automated upgrades and faster service at no extra cost. Available on our Shippit rates, all deliveries are carbon-neutral at no extra cost and come with in-house delivery support.

As order volumes increase, so does the number of WISMO queries. Proof of Delivery photos give instant peace of mind and ensure customers know their order has arrived safely at their doorstep.

Proof of Delivery photos are available on the tracking page and notifications, as well as the ‘Track’ tab in your Shippit dashboard, for Uber, Aramex, TNT, Allied, and TGE, with support for more carriers coming soon.

Apple Wallet order tracking, now self-serve
Give shoppers a premium tracking experience with instant push notifications and fraud-proof security. Shippit customers who have branded tracking enabled can now toggle on Apple Wallet directly from your dashboard settings, and manage Apple Wallet activation at both the company and store level in just a few clicks.

Building on our enhanced tracking experience launched earlier this year, PeopleVox and Comestri customers can now give receivers a clear breakdown of what’s arriving now and what’s coming next, with:
- Smart tracking for split orders: Our new Group Order ID links multiple shipments, so you and your customers always know when an order is arriving in more than one delivery.
- A unified tracking experience: All shipments now appear in one view, with clear delivery estimates and a clean, organised interface.

Declare accurate values, pay less
Stop overpaying duties and taxes on inflated retail prices. Shippit now supports Cost Price, Retail Price, and Selling Price at the product level so customs declarations reflect true values. Configure Importer of Record (IOR) details by country, and we'll automatically generate compliant commercial invoices whether you include costs in product pricing, use flat shipping rates, or need dynamic calculations.

Real-time tracking for Fluent Commerce customers
Shippit now provides full tracking visibility for Fluent orders, with granular events like in transit, with driver, delivery attempted, and completed, directly in the Fluent system. This helps Fluent customers make smarter operational decisions while offering customers a transparent and reliable tracking experience. Events flow automatically via webhooks, and a simple toggle lets Fluent customers control updates, keeping tracking notifications timely and relevant.
